The classification and use of gasket materials can be divided into the following types:
1. Non-metallic gasket, soft texture, corrosion resistance, cheap price, but poor temperature resistance and pressure resistance, mostly used in the flange sealing of medium and low pressure containers or pipelines at room temperature and medium temperature.
2. Semi-metallic gaskets have the advantages of non-metallic flexibility, compression and low bolt load capacity, and have metal strength, resilience and temperature resistance. It is suitable for use in medium temperature and medium pressure environments.
3. Metal gasket is suitable for use under harsh operating conditions such as high temperature and high pressure and frequent load cycle.
Non-metallic gasket: gasket made of asbestos, rubber, synthetic resin, polytetrafluoroethylene and other non-metals.
Semi-metallic gaskets: gaskets made of metallic and non-metallic materials, such as wound gaskets, metal-coated gaskets.
Metal gaskets: gaskets made of metals such as steel, aluminum, copper, nickel or monel alloys.
